Cultural Performances

KOORI CULTURE THROUGH MUSIC & DANCE 

Last Thursday we went to Welshpool to see a special performance.  They did a dance.  They are really Aborigines.  Their names were Jamie and Steve.  -  Kian

They told us stories about animals.  -  Ashley

They had gum leaves on their legs and they had paint on their bodies.  They taught us dances.   -  Elli

I like them.  I like the didgeridoo and the boomerangs.  I like how they were dressed.  I like their moves.  I like the clap sticks. Rochelle

Yesterday I saw the Aborigines.  They were funny with their
language.  They moved funny.  -  Eden

Yesterday we went to Welshpool.  We went to have a play.  Then we went in to the basketball court.  The man came in.  They did a dance.  It was interesting.   -  Ebony

On Thursday  we hopped on a bus and drove to Welshpool. We saw some Koori performers.   Their names were Jamie and Steve. They had paint up and down their bodies and were wearing lap laps.  They had gum leaves around their knees.  -  Grace

Yesterday we went to see a performance at Welshpool hall.  Their names were Jamie and Steve.  -  Cody

Steve and Jamie sung for us and played an animal dance. Mikayla

I liked that they showed us their dances and they showed us how to play the digeridoo and the clappers.  -  Kelsey

When we went to Welshpool we saw the Aborigines.  -  Seth

We went to the Welshpool Primary School performance to see the Kooris.  -  Morgan

When we went to see Jamie and Steve they sung for us.  Stephanie

We were doing the actions of the animals.  -  Britanny

COMING PERFORMANCE  -  ALADDIN  Wednesday 25th June
Alpha's Aladdin is a spectacular musical rock concert for children and grown ups of all ages. Bring children and grown ups from any background or of any age to help them grow in their love for theatre, comedy and life as well as the magic of manifesting their dreams!
