Local Artists

Local Artists play an important role in our school./  Diverse personalities and talents work alongside teachers and students to produce artworks that enhance the school and local environment whilst equipping students with lifelong skills and attitudes.

Sue Gilford, a local artist has spent many hours in our school working with students on the "Toora Beach Mural" and "Frog Mural".   She has been an inspiration to our student artist Zach Kennedy.   Sue was also a vital link in our School Production of 'Cinderella', painting three huge the backdrops for the stage.

Willem Van Cleef painted our internal wall mural of native animals which enhances the Library and Junior School wing.

Lisa Kennedy's Aboriginal 'hands' mural adorns the Administration entrance whilst the rebound wall tells the story of a young boys journey from the mountains to the sea.

Toora Progress Association and Toora Primary School joint 'Street Banner Project".  Local artists Sue Gilford and Willem Van Cleef worked with students to complete banners which now adorn Stanley Street Toora.

Christmas banners alternate with a wonderful range of everyday banners depicting Agnes Falls, The Wind Farm, Pear Orchard, Toora Primary School, Toora Football Club, to name a few.
